Officials warn residents not to open packages after delivery explodes

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — Investigators warned residents in a Carroll County neighborhood not to open any packages after a person was injured Friday by a delivery that exploded.

A 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital, WBFF reported. His identity and condition have not been released.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Office K9s did not find any other explosives after checking other mailboxes in the neighborhood. However, officials did warn residents not to open packages, the Hanover Evening Sun reported.
